Traveling to Costa Rica
When traveling out the country there are some basic things you must know. Since this is an information site about Costa Rica I put together a list of things you need to know ranging from packing to your ‘to do’ list.
First of all, you need your passport. It use to be ok to have a drivers license as proof, but now a passport is required. If you are traveling with multiple people it never hurts to make copies of each individuals passports. You will also need your passport to check into your hotel, and if you plan on renting a car you’ll need it and your up-to-date drivers license. Also keep your insurance card and contact info. Make Copies of this as it may come in handy. Medical care in costa rica is nationalized, but it may come in use.
Places to Visit in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a land of adventure and opportunity, which makes for a great place to visit. There are many different ventures that people can go on while vacationing in Costa Rica. With a little research and an idea for the type of adventure that the vacationer is looking for, there are tons of different activities to suit ever taste.
National Parks are in abundance in Costa Rica. Parks such as Corcovado National Park and Monteverde National Park offer beautiful scenery for those that are interested in nature and the scenic outback of Costa Rica. While at the parks, tourists can walk along the sky bridges, which is a popular tourist attraction too. The huge sky bridges span from one mountainside to another, making it possible to travel on foot above the forest floors. Biking trails in the parks and along the Costa Rican Oceanside make for not only great exercise, but for extended hours of scenic views at a personal pace.

There are many souvenirs that tourists can go home with from the quaint little stores in Costa Rica. There are a few shopping locations that should be mentioned, which are fun little spots to frequent when shopping.
Depending on what purchases are going to be made, there are various places for the best shopping locations. Some of the best retailer stores are found on the beaches of Costa Rica. It is there that fresh fruits and fish can be purchased from mercados, or markets. It is also where a lot of the homemade and handcrafted pieces of the villagers can be found.
